Report from the 3rd International ICBUW Conference, Hiroshima August 2006

The 3rd ICBUW International Conference was held in Hiroshima, between August 3rd-6th. More than 1000 participants, including more than 40 people from 12 different countries and many more from all over Japan, attended the proceedings.

Raising Our Voices with the Victims for the Total Abolition of DU Weapons.
The International Coalition to Ban Uranium Weapons (ICBUW) will hold its 3rd Annual Conference this August in Hiroshima, Japan.

Draft Convention on the prohibition of development, production, stockpiling,
transfer and use of uranium weapons and on their destruction.

Preamble
The States Parties to this Convention,
RECALLING the principles of the Hague Regulations concerning the Laws and Customs of war on land, the Geneva Conventions and its Additional Protocols and especially the general principle of International Law on the protection of the civilian population against the effects of hostilities...
