The International Coalition to Ban Uranium Weapons (ICBUW) will hold its 3rd
Annual Conference this August in Hiroshima, Japan.
Draft Convention on the prohibition of development, production, stockpiling,
transfer and use of uranium weapons and on their destruction.
Preamble
The States Parties to this Convention,
RECALLING the principles of the Hague Regulations concerning
the Laws and Customs of war on land, the Geneva Conventions and its Additional
Protocols and especially the general principle of International Law on
the protection of the civilian population against the effects of hostilities...

We, the people, need to let governments and the United
Nations know that these weapons can have no part in a humane and caring
world. Every signature counts!

The International Day of Action to Ban Uranium Weapons
November 6, 2004-- Non Governmental Organizations (NGO's)
from around the globe will participate in an international day of action
coordinated by the International Coalition to Ban Uranium Weapons. This
day was chosen to coincide with the United Nations International Day for
Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict.
Activities are planned in Belgium, England, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands
and the United States. Planned events include petition drives, lobbying
visits, symposiums, photo exhibits, marches and more.
